Christmas 2011

I know it's almost March but I wanted to show you a little Christmas page I made to showcase our 2011 Christmas card picture.  I just love it!

Of course I started this page with a cardstock base of Crumb Cake...I love that color!

Then I added in some papers from the Mistletoe Collection by Making Memories.  This paper is a few years old but I bought a lot of it and I still LOVE it!

I love the way the trees look when they are cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

I created this little scallop using Stampin Up punches: 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, 1-1/4" Circle and Small Heart.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Daughter

Do you ever get a great deal on an 8x10 picture and print it just to scrapbook it?  I do!  I print all of my pictures at Walgreens cause it's right down the street and they had a deal going to get this 8x10 for only 99 cents!  I just love how 8x10's look on 12x12 pages!

I started this page with a 12x12 piece of Pool Party cardstock (SU).  The picture is matted in a piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock (SU).

The DSP on this page comes from Cosmo Cricket (floral and dot...double sided) and Pink Paislee (numbers).

I have had the "D" card in my stash for quite some time and I can't remember where it came from.  The letter stickers are from Cosmo Cricket and the Buttons are American Crafts!

I love this layout!  The picture is from this day.  It was a trying day but this picture of my and my little girlie is just priceless!

February Scrapbook Club: Scoring

So I was looking at all of the scrapbooking stuff, thinking of what I would pack first when I came across a BIG box of layouts that I have made over the past year that haven't made it into albums yet.  I didn't count them but there are A LOT here!

So I thought it was time to get started posting some of them online!

The first layout was not in this stack.  It is the layout that we just completed a few days ago in club.

The theme this month was scoring and I have to tell you that I don't use scoring too much in my crafting so it was a good way to introduce something new into my pages.

Here is the first page.  We used the new scoring tool to add texture to a few pieces of DSP and also to create that cute yo-yo with the button on top!

To make the yo-yo, we took a 1" x 12" piece of DSP and scored it every 1/4".  Then you acordian fold it, tape the ends together wtih sticky strip or snail and adhere to your cardstock base using a big glue dot and a little bit of sticky strip.  I then used another big glue dot to stick the button on top.

You might also be able to tell that there is a vertical line scored on the white and red DSP strip.  If you can't see it in the picture, you would be able to see it up close.  It just adds a little extra pop to the design.

Some of my favorite new Stampin Up items are: Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (122975) and Silver Mini Brads (122941).  They are both just SO CUTE!

On this second page, we scored the orange piece of DSP both vertically and horizontally between the "X" pattern.  I love the look of it up close...although you can't really see in the pictures.

Supplies Used - Cardstock: Crumb Cake, DSP: Everyday Enchantment (Sale-a-Bration Item), Mini Brads, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Crumb Cake Button (Retired).

Brooke's Valentines

So here they are...the valentines that we created!  Aren't they just so CUTE!  We used the paper that we hand-stamped the previous day to create them.  You can learn more about that paper here.

We also got TONS of foam heart stickers for $5 at Target!  We have SO many that I think they will be featured on our cards next year too!  They are awesome and Brooke can peel the backs off herself and stick them down.  So easy and so cute!  AND...every card turns out a little different so all the people receiving them should feel extra special!  :)

Supplies: Card base is Stampin Up's Real Red cardstock.  Hearts were stamped on Stampin Up's Whisper White cardstock.  Crayola washable red and pink paint.  Foam heart stickers from Target.

Valentine's Day Craftiness

My daughter, Brooke is totally crafty...I think it's in her genes!  :)

So I found this fun idea on Pinterest here.  It looked so cute and easy and I thought the paper that we created would be great for our Valentine's cards this year!

You just take an empty toilet paper roll, fold in half, fold in one fold to create a heart shape and then tape in place.  After that you just dip in paint, make sure it's fully covered and...

stamp it!  So easy and so cute!  Come back tomorrow to see the finished valentines!

February Stylin' and Stampin' Blog Hop

Hey All...I'm updating my blog!  YAY!  I hope you enjoy the group that I've found online and become a part of.  This month we are showing you some new Stampin Up goodies that we used to make projects based on the theme...

Don't you just LOVE Sale-a-Bration time?!?!?!

Ok...here's my card...

This is a cute little baby card I made for my best friend for her baby shower last Saturday!  There are a few new goodies on here: Blossom Builder Kit (Occasions Mini), Hat Pins (Occasions Mini) and Everyday Enchantment Brads (SAB).  Don't you just love how it all comes together?!

This card was made using a Crumb Cake base with Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive as a compliment.  The heart was hand-drawn and cut out from the First Edition Specialty DSP.

The Blossom Builder kit is probably one of my favorite things from the Occasions Mini!  The flowers are double-sided; patterned on one side and plain on the other.  Then you get these cute little flags with them.  I used the Calendar Alphabet to stamp "BABY" on mine.  AND...you also get some cute little pink jewels!

Here is my 3D item...

I also used the Blossom Builders Kit and Everyday Enchantment Brads for this project!  I guess you can tell what my favorites are!

The base of this bookmark is Crumb Cake.

Then I layered two flowers in Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze, Circle of Daffodil Delight and a Lucky Limeade Brad! The leaves of the flower were created using Stampin Up's Linen Thread.

And here is the bookmark in action on the book I'm currently reading for my Mom's Group!  Ha ha!  Can you tell I have an almost 3 year old?!
