We interrupt this regularly crafty blog...

No time to talk about paper crafting today! I have to get my bag packed to go see this movie tonight with friends! Actually we have tickets to the "Twilight Experience" which is where AMC will show us Twilight, New Moon, and at 12:01 Eclipse.

Now I'm not a die-hard fan but the people I'm going with are and I think it will be a fun experience! So I'm heading to the theater at 1pm for movies that start at 6:30pm. I kinda feel like a teenager again! (Except I had to get a babysitter to cover my regular duties! Thanks Grandma Jean!!)

Back tomorrow with a crafty project!

One of my Favorites

This is one of my favorite cards I made for last month's event. I just love the light color combo or neutrals with a little blue. I also love that it was pretty simple to create!

The larger circle on the front of the card was made using the 1-3/4" Stampin Up circle punch. Then I stamped the flowers and punched them with the 1-3/8" circle punch.

I love this card! I can see me making a lot of different color combos with different sentiments too!

Simple Card

I am a simple crafter. I love simple, clean lines, minimal work to produce a very cute card! Here is another one of my cards I created for last month's card event.

The only reason this card took a little bit of time was that my customers had to use the Sizzix to punch out 4 different colored butterflies. Other than that...glue a few layers together, glue on butterflies and stamp your sentiment. I love it!
I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit die from Stampin Up for the butterflies. It creates 5 different die cut and embossed butterflies! I love it! (#118138, $11.95)

Bad Blogger!

WOW! I am a really BAD blogger! SORRY! I guess the summer has gotten to me. We head to the YMCA almost every morning for Momma workout time, run a few errands, have lunch, take a nap (some days I do too), and then hit up the pool in the backyard or go to the park. It's so much fun now that Brooke is 16 months and she can walk and run and ENJOY more things!!

But I suppose that's no excuse for the mess my craft room is in or the fact that I haven't blogged on this blog in 8 days! Ack!!

So here I am with a cute card I made for my May 10 cards for $15 event. I just LOVE this color combo (Night of Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White, and a little Summer Sun. I used an embossing folder to get the polka dots and here's how I did the flower. Punch 5 layers of paper with the scallop punch, crumble then up, ink them up, place together with a brad, loop the ribbon for a leaf, and use a big pop up glue dot to attach a button to the center!

The idea for the ribbon loop came from Jinny when we were making out Mother's Day club scrapbook page in May. I will have to get that one out to show you all soon!

I hope to get motivated to post more! And to clean my room up (I have people coming to scrapbook on Saturday so I have to do that)!

Shoebox Swap

So recently I attended a shoebox swap where there were 20 people included! So we made 20 projects using new items from the Summer Mini and the new Idea Book & Catalog! Here is the card that I made for the swap...

I used the Tropical Party stamp set (Clear Mount #120081 $13.95, Wood Mount #118515 $17.95). This set is in the Summer Mini catalog. Doesn't it just remind you of summer and vacations! There is also coordinating Designer Series Paper! I only used a little piece but all of the patterns are SO CUTE! (Island Oasis DSP #117173 $9.95).

The other new item from the mini that I used were the Bitty Buttons (#118761 $4.95). You get 64 buttons in this pack and there are 4 different shapes! I still have a lot left to use!

And last but not least, there is one sneak peek from the NEW catalog on this card. See that scallop punch out? See how much bigger it is than the one we currently have? WELL...there is a new, larger scallop punch(2-3/8")! This item will not be available for purchase until July 1st! But here's how you can get it: #118874 $16.95. And here's another fun tid bit...All of the punches are now available in the new punch style! They all fold and store flat!

On this card the circle that is layered over the scallop is from the 1-3/4" Circle punch (#119850 $16.95) we currently have available!

Come back soon to see more items from the Shoebox swap. I have 19 more to show you...all with new items!!

Card in the Mail

We received this card in the mail today...

It came from my mom. Isn't it so cute? I just love that River Rock and Rich Razzelberry color combo!

I haven't been very good at blogging lately. But I hope to be back on top of it this week! Stick around...I have more new cards coming up this week!
