New Scrapbook Club

Last night was our first scrapbook club meeting of the new session! It was so much fun to see all of you again! This is the page that we made.

We used the Sweet Pea DSP stack so everyone had a little bit of a different page to work with. We also used the Sweet Pea Stitched felt pieces, corduroy buttons, and brads!!

I used my page to scrapbook some fun pictures of Brooke and the screen door!! What a fun day!

You will see my favorite face she made all day in the bottom left picture! Doesn't that just make you want to laugh?? I just love this page and can't wait to see how all of my club member's pages turn out when they add pictures!

More Birthday Cards!

I was lucky enough to receive all of these cards from my friends and Stampin Up customers! I love it when I am the recipent of one of their creations!

This card was made by Jessica. She used the cute hostess stamp set, Admit It! I just love that grey tafeta ribbon too! SO CUTE and I absolutely LOVE the color combo!

This card was made my Jinny. She has a great blog that you can check out. And she talks more about this card here. She also says some very kind words about me. I'm so thankful that we are friends! Oh, and don't forget to check out her etsy site, Lofty Designs.

This card came from Lisa. I just love how she has used the Pick a Petal stamp set. This is one that I've kinda forgotten about. But I may just have to brush the dust off of it and play with it soon.

And this last card came from Tracy. I just love the color combo and of course, the Party Hearty stamp set!

Thanks ladies! You are the best!

Blog Header

Check out my blog header! I made that with My Digital Studio too! I'm on a roll today!

My Digital Studio

I just love the ease that digital scrapbooking provides! (Of course, I would never give up traditional scrapping...no way!) But using this program to finish up some of the pictures that I have forgotten about from years past or just doing a quick page here and there is making it SO EASY! And FUN! I made four 12x12 layouts this morning (before Brooke woke up and after she went down for her first nap of the day)! That shows you how easy it is!

When we go on vacations, I like to make a seperate album and then also create a 12x12 layout that goes in our yearly scrapbook. This layout was created using the Sweet Pea designs add-on that I purchase for only $9.95!!

Don't you just love this page? And the fact that it was created while I checked my email and posted on facebook too...BONUS!!

3x3 Baby Card

A while ago I attended a baby shower for my friend who had a little baby boy! I made this cute little 3x3 card to go with her gift. I used the new A to Z stamp (#115711, $9.95) in the mini catalog. It's the perfect size for a 3x3 card! The actual image dimensions are approximately 2-7/8"x2-5/8". I'm loving it!

My Birthday Thank Yous

My birthday was on January 20th and I got a lot of great gifts! So I had to make some Thank You cards...right?! On my shopping spree at Archiver's I picked up a sheet of this cupcake paper and I just LOVE it! The other papers that you see on the card are from the Welcome Neighbor paper pad that I talked about yesterday in my post!

Everyone loves a glittery cupcake!

Welcome/Good Neighbor

Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is a great time of the SU year! This year they have extended the event to cover 3 months (January-March)! As a customer, if you spend $50 in merchandise you can pick a FREE SAB item! There are 6 items to choose from and I am featuring 2 of them today!

To make this card I used the Welcome Neighbor 6x6 Designer Series paper pad (#118401). There are 72 sheets total in this pad! You will get 3 sheets each of 24 double-sided designs! It's awesome! All of the houses and the blue clouds are on printed paper...I just cut a strip and glued it down. (Did you also check out my lovely Clear Block stack in this picture?!)

Then I used a second sheet of paper to cut out one house and one cloud to pop up with dimensionals! I then took a strip of Old Olive paper and used my snips to cut thin pieces of grass. And the last detail I added was using the cloud stamp from my Good Neighbors stamp set (#118378 for Wood Mount, #119116 for Clear Mount) to stamp a few clouds using Versamark ink.

Very simple and super cute! I sent this card to some friends from church that just bought their first house together! Hope they liked it!

Scalloped Heart of Hearts

This is the final card that I made at the shoebox swap I have been talking about for most of the month! There is so much new stuff on this card: the Well Scripted stamp set, Real Red satin ribbon, Pinking Hearts Border punch, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die (#117193 $11.95), AND these...

Sending Love Epoxy Brads. They come in Real Red (#117270 $4.95), Pretty in Pink (#117271 $4.95), and Chocolate Chip (117272 $3.25...smaller size). Each set has a total of 16 brads; 8 each of 2 designs. Wouldn't these be perfect on your valentines???

Easel Cards

This is a new type of card that I got to make when I was at the Shoebox Swap earlier this month. You can learn more about the dimensions and instructions here.

Basically this card is made to showcase your artwork both inside and out of the card you make!

Here is a view from the side of the card when it's standing up to be showcased!

And here is what it looks like when it's laying down flat. We got to use the Sending Love Specialty DSP again! Love it! You can see all of the designs in this post. We also got to use that wonderful NEW satin ribbon that is in the new mini! It comes in Basic Black, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, and Basic Gray. You get 15 yards for only $8.95. I can't wait to get my hands on some of this!

2010 Calendar Complete

I know I posted about my calendar a few weeks ago that I was making in My Digital Studio. Well, I finally completed it and sent it off to the printer. It should be arriving soon! Here are the images that I created from scratch!

Cover page.

January - I love the Real Red, Basic Black, and Basic Gray combo! It's so fun to place a stamp on a picture!

February - Loved creating this page to show how my little girl has grown over the past year! Love how it's so easy to add text to a picture!

March - Brooke was not even a month old yet in these pictures! I love how you can take a stamped image and make it any size you want (shamrocks)!

April - Easter pictures are so cute! Don't you just love how you can add embellishments like buttons that look real but they won't add bulk to the calendar when it's hanging on the fridge!

May - Pictures of my first Mother's Day as a Momma! It's so simple to matte all of the pictures on the page in any color you want!

June - Sam's first Father's Day as a Dad. I think this textured stamp that you can add to your page base is so awesome!

July - You even have access to punches (the star) that you can make whatever size you want!!!

August - You can add faux stitching and you don't have to poke all those holes and connect them with a white gel pen! So easy!

September - It's very easy to copy and paste layouts. I used this layout in my Mom's calendar that we gave her for Christmas and loved it so much I wanted it in mine too! All I had to do was add it as a page! Took 5 seconds!

October - There are so many Designer Series Papers that are available! One in almost every color!

November - See those silver brads in the top right corner? Don't they look real? But just like the buttons, they don't add bulk and I don't have to worry about them poking through to the other side of the paper!

December - Check out that bow! You can have a bow on your projects without fearing that it will get all smooshed!

I just love My Digital Studio (#118108 $79.95) and can't wait to create more projects with it! If you have any questions about it, feel free to leave a comment for me!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my birthday! I just wanted to share a few of the cards I have received that are handmade!

This first card comes from my Mom. She created this card using the stamp set Trendy Trees (#113258 $17.95). I love this color combo.

This next card was made by my Mother-In-Law. She knows how I have a love for flip flops! This one is SO cute!

This final card was given to me by my Grandma. But I have a feeling that my MIL made it too. She used the stamp set Garden Whimsy (#113502 $26.95).

Hope you enjoy January 20th as much as I will!

I {Heart} Hearts 2

I love this stamp set. You can see the whole set in this post. The above card is one that I made for Sam for his birthday. I love that woodgrain heart! Simple and manly...or atleast I think so.

Manly Thank You Card

My hubby just had a birthday back in December. He turned 27. So after receiving all of his gifts, he needed some thank you cards to send some notes of appreciation. This is what I came up with...

I chose two different patterned papers, added some Kraft Taffeta ribbon (#109068 $6.95) in between the papers, stamped the little present from Party Hearty (#111532 $26.95) and punched that out. I finished the card with a Thank You sentiment from the set Thank You Kindly (#111700 $13.95).

Thank You Kindly is one of the stamp sets that you can get during Sale-A-Bration! All you have to do is spend $50 and you get it for FREE!

Don't you love this card?! It was super simple and it's very manly! I think it would also make a great manly birthday card by changing the sentiment.

Introducing....

Stampin Up clear blocks. Brooke wanted to show you what they look like when they come....all packaged up!

She was very happy to see them!! (As was her Momma!)

Vintage Vogue

This is another card I made at the showebox swap I got to attend in the beginning of the month. Don't you just love the color combo: Old Olive with Rich Razzleberry! Anyway...Wintage Vogue is one of the new sets in the Occasions Mini!

Here is the set (#117690 for Wood Mount $23.95, #118598 for Clear Mount $17.95). I love the sentiment, "Life Happens. Love Helps." Don't you?

Shopping Spree!

For Christmas I asked for Archiver's giftcards from my family! I never thought that I would get such a great response! I received $130 to spend! WOO HOO!

So last Saturday I got out of the house (after being there for 5 days straight...I needed a break) and got to go explore Archiver's while hubby and baby were hanging out at home! I think I browsed for over an hour! Above you can see what I purchased. Spending $115...which I have never done in one shopping trip to Archiver's...ever!

I loved the new collections of paper from American Crafts! Above you will see Blue Skies and below is Letterbox. I love the American Crafts papers...you get 60 sheets for only $13! That's not bad! Although they aren't double sided...that's why I love all of Stampin Up's papers!

I also got a few loose sheets of decorative paper. Aren't those cupcakes so cute! You will see some cards I made with them soon! I can't reveal them until people receive them in the mail!

Thickers were on sale and the other alpha stickers I got were in the $1.99 bins! Gotta love those!

I saw this stamp for under $10 and thought that it would be very cute for cards! It's a clear mount stamp like the new SU ones! This one isn't SU but I will be sure to mount it on my SU Clear Block when I stamp it!!

Got some new embellishments. I love the flair. Also got some Valentine's brads, heart brads, felt letters, journaling spots, flowers and ribbons.

Here was my long receipt! I finally got my hands on some of the new stuff last night and it was so much fun!!!
